Bad Wither No Cookie – Reloaded is the latest mod for Minecraft which promises to be just as addictive and fun as its predecessor, Bad Wither. In fact, it’s actually quite the opposite! It takes the base game and revamps it to provide you with a fresh and unique experience. If you’ve played before, you’ll find that it is still very much the same game, just with a few tweaks here and there. I for one loved playing Bad Wither, but I felt that it had lost a bit of its appeal when the update took effect.
So, how has the game been improved? Well, the most noticeable difference I saw was that, while the original game had you walking aimlessly around the overworld, Bad Wither No Cookie – Reloaded places you in the center of a city. There are many different areas, all of which contain new recipes, loot and items. You can go from the green grassland to the burning desert, from the peaceful village to the harsh mountains. There’s also a new minigame that I loved – flying a kite!
What really helped me with this game was the addition of three new achievements. The first one is called, simply, The Chase. You have to chase down an enemy, and then avoid being caught by him without hitting anything. The second one is called, simply, Wayward. This requires you to fly as high as possible and avoid crashing into anything while your wings 1.16.5 are out.
The final achievement, aptly named, Self-Improvement, requires you to cook a full meal. This involves using a pressure cooker to cook the food, then eating it. All the recipes require raw ingredients, so be careful not to eat too much raw vegetable or fruit! Once you’ve cooked your dinner, you will need to cook some more, and then use the same pressure cooker to cook your final dish. It’s just that easy!
Now, while this game is fairly straightforward, it’s easy to pick up and play. After purchasing the game, I installed it on my home computer and started playing immediately. I think the graphics are a bit grainy at times, but that’s fine since it’s all so very simple. The controls work well, and the game runs very smooth. The one complaint I have is that there isn’t any instruction given regarding how to use the various buttons and commands in the menu, but this is easily remedied by looking at the included screen capture software.
Overall, Bad Wither No Cookie – Reloaded is a fun game. I really enjoyed playing it, and I’m sure other people will feel the same way once they get their copy. As someone who has played similar games, I can say that the graphics and storyline of this one are quite fun. I highly recommend it!
