Bed Patch 1.16.5 is a mod for Minecraft which adds in several new types of ores, including lapis and oregano. Unlike most mods in that game, it adds in these items as if they had been crafted naturally. This is because all the recipes for these items are generated when the player has found and crafted an ore.
As with all vanilla mods, Bed Patch also changes the amount of money you get from mining ore and selling it. The amount you get will depend on how much the actual mined ore is worth. It will also vary depending on how much of that particular ore is left. This means that if you mine an ore only to come up with just a little over one hundred dollars, you will only get one hundred dollars for your efforts.
When I originally uploaded for this mod, I included a custom made dispenser for selling your ores. It worked fine but felt spammy and unnecessary. Since then, I have seen several other similar dispensers posted on the forums. So I’ve decided to include an ore-smelter, which is the simplest way to get more ore from the patch. The basic idea behind both the dispenser and the ore-smelter is the same, though.
To use the dispenser, simply have a stack of oregano seeds in your inventory, as is the case with the oregano seeds. Get in the habit of collecting three of them every time you mine. Once you have the dispenser going, make sure that you have at least two stacks of seeds on your screen. This should ensure that you can start harvesting right away. Simply wait until you’re ready to pick up the oregano, click the empty seed packet icon, and then pick up the rest of the seeds.
You can then transfer all the oregano you have gathered into empty jars. Make sure you place the empty jars in the dispenser, and fill it with the hot water before you put the third cup of the solution into the jar. This should do the trick! Now all you have to do is wait… and wait some more.
As for how long it will take to harvest from your bed patch, it really depends on how fast you can get it going. It depends on how many jars you have. On average, it takes about three full minutes to harvest one jar of oregano from a bed patch. The longer you can play with the patch, the faster you’ll be harvesting chunks of ore in no time.
