A new mod by Blutrag, BiblioCraft 1.16.5 is a spiritual successor of the old classic MC Modpack, which used to be one of the most popular mods on the server. With this new release though, BiblioCraft has basically improved the game play, visuals and the overall features of the mod. What makes this new version so different though, is that it is also the first modpack to introduce crafting recipes for almost every type of block and item, which will allow players to create 1.16.5 all kind of unique and interesting objects in-game. It also introduces a new crafting system called ‘Botania 1.16.5’, which is based on an advanced artificial intelligence concept.
BiblioCraft improves upon the old version in many ways. For example, instead of using wooden planks to craft blocks, you now have a variety of block variants, which are not only more durable but also look a lot better. If you’re a big fan of decorative items, you will also love the new additions to the crafting recipe roster. There’s still a lot of recipes available from the vanilla edition, but BiblioCraft added many new ones, including all kind of enchanted and rare items that players can collect.
There is also a new way to gain energy with your farms, and that is by using wind power. There’s also a new currency, the Telero Coin, which allows you to purchase items from other players. That currency has to be manually collected, but unlike in the vanilla edition, you do not need to have any special equipment to collect it. Also, due to the block generation overhaul in BiblioCraft, there are now over 80 different kinds of blocks, including marble, granite, and limestone. And of course, all this is accompanied by a brand-new biome, which has been expanded upon with all kinds of new biomes, each with their own unique loot tables and biomes.
But there’s something else that BiblioCraft has added that is very helpful – WorldGuard. WorldGuard is an addon that helps you track down various “agitated” mobs that are out there, which are just standing around waiting to attack you. Without this mod, most biomes in BiblioCraft would be quite a bit harder, as they are not completely safe from mobs that are out to attack you. WorldGuard makes these biomes a lot more challenging and exciting to play.
But as important as WorldGuard is, BiblioCraft has also added another very helpful mod – the Modular Furniture. This mod enables you to craft modular furniture, so that you can create a much more versatile environment while in game. There are many different types of furniture you can craft using this mod, and they all have their own unique loot tables and biomes. It’s simply an awesome way to spice up your mining experience.
The BiblioCraft: Biomes O’Plenty edition is a great mod, and it does a great job of revamping the game. However, the biggest problem it faces is that it doesn’t have a version for the 1.5 edition of the game, which is sad because it would be such a fantastic addition. I hope that BiblioCraft will get around to releasing an update for the 1.5 edition of their mod soon.
