Cathedral Left is a mod for Minecraft, developed by modders called “FTBugs”. This is not the mod you’re used to seeing FTB use for its massive overhaul of the vanilla game, though. This mod aims to do much more than just improve the visuals and the sounds of the game, it aims to completely overhaul the game. Here are a few of the features that this mod offers, along with a brief description of what they do and why they’re worth having.
– The Cathedral will slowly start to fill with non-enemy mobs as you continue to fight off the waves of enemy mobs. These enemies, technically enemies, aren’t real in-game, but are only models. They have all been given a brand new model which will move and stand slightly differently, so that you can tell them apart from the other enemies. These models are also much easier to kill, thanks to their small sizes and less powerful offensive skills.
– There are now several different types of spider queen mobs in Cathedral Left. Spider Queen is significantly more dangerous than their regular counterparts, due to their highly improved abilities. These spiders have the ability to quickly multiply into several more, while creating more spiders to produce them. If you think you can take on the stronger spiders alone, think again!
– A new type of mob called a spider lord has also been added to the game. Their health and armor are twice as powerful as that of the regular spider, and they have the ability to summon other creatures. These summoned creatures do not last long and have to be killed immediately before they do any damage to your character. The spider lord is one of the most difficult bosses in the game to kill, so make sure to put your best fight skills to the test!
– You can now get items dropped by enemy monsters in Cathedral Left. These items are called soul gems. Soul gems recharge health points and can be used on yourself to gain a greater speed or power while playing the game. Soul gems also allow you to pick up the souls of powerful enemy characters in the game, allowing you to level up much faster than you could otherwise. Soul gems are also dropable loot if you happen to kill an enemy that drops a soul gem.
Cathedral Left is a fantastic game with lots of replayability. There are several levels you can complete before moving onto the next, and the various weapons and armors you can wear will give you endless options when it comes to combating the game’s challenges. What you’re looking for, I would suggest, is something that will keep you entertained over multiple plays. I’ve yet to find anything that does this quite well!
