Ender chests are one of the many additions that can be found in the vanilla version of Minecraft. It is a type of crafting table and is used primarily for creating armor and tools. This is a handy type of chest pack as it is able to hold many more tools and items than normal sized chests. However, there are many disadvantages associated with using this particular mod pack and that is why I will be sharing my experience of using Ender chests so that you can have a better understanding about it.
The first disadvantage of Ender chests is that it only allows you to hold up to eight items at a time. This is not much and can be remedied by using a bigger chest pack such as that of a knight’s shield or that of a skeleton. You will then be able to hold more items. You should use this advantage to your advantage when making your own craftable armors and tools because if you have too many items they won’t fit inside.
The second issue I am going to talk about is its durability. It seems like it is made from some kind of material but it is actually made out of an outdated version of leather. Leather is not very durable so I suggest getting something made from metal as the base. Other types of materials you can use are copper and iron. Although they are relatively cheaper, they don’t last nearly as long and will break after several dozen uses.
The third problem I came across with using Ender chests is that they are only available in limited styles. You can only get a few different textures for each chest pack, which makes the style selection rather limited. For example, you can get the regular wood chest pack, the fancy golden pine chest pack, and even the mystical dark iron chest pack. While these might seem like a waste of resources, it is a useful mod to have because you will need them for crafting.
As I said before, this chest pack is excellent for crafting. You can craft all kinds of useful items such as shovels, armor, and even flamethrowers. You don’t need to get these from any mod packs because the chest pack comes with them. If you do decide to buy other packs however, I recommend getting the following two, the “recipe” chest pack and the “vanilla” chest pack. These allow you to craft vanilla items and change the names to Ender chests. This makes finding rare items much easier because instead of looking everywhere, you know exactly what you need to get.
All in all, I really liked using Ender chests. They are functional, easy to use, and very stylish. While I have not seen any problems with their durability or style, these are things you probably consider non-essential when choosing your first chest pack. However, if you enjoy crafting then I suggest giving them a shot. You might find that they are perfect for your survival!
