The Enhanced Celestials – Blood Moon and Harvest Moon are two of the more popularly-known mods in Minecraft. These are two of the biggest overhauls that have been released for this game yet, and both of them bring significant changes to the game. The Enhanced Celestials add significantly to player strength, while the Moonstone grants a strong defense boost. However, both of these are only available on certain maps. You can find them at the Azeroth Caverns, the Burning Crusade, and the patch.
There are several reasons why I like the Moonstone and the Enhanced Celestials – Blood Moon and Harvest Moon. First of all, they are only available at certain places in the game. This can be frustrating because you may want one of these two but you know that you can’t get it where you are. It’s a minor annoyance, but it’s one that can be easily remedied with an add-on such as the Moonstone.
On top of this, the Moonstone and the Enhanced Celestials – Blood Moon and Harvest Moon are not entirely separate add-ons. They actually work well together. When you combine them with the appropriate primary or secondary element, you get a powerful Earth spell that can really help your teams. You can also use it to greatly improve the speed of your Earth element spells. This makes them very useful for healing groups.
My biggest issue with the Moonstone and the Enhanced Celestials – Blood Moon and Harvest Moon are that they don’t do anything different than the vanilla game. They simply add some nice spells to your already existing gameplay. You’ll still be doing the same old things in terms of leveling up and fighting monsters. While I’m not complaining about that, what I am annoyed about is that there aren’t more exciting ways to spend my time.
I would love to see an official overhaul of the magic system. Currently, you basically have two paths to choose from: enchanting and nature. Enchanting is definitely more flexible but it doesn’t allow you to specialize into anything. Nature is better overall but enchanting does make you really feel like you’re creating something. I guess that’s why there aren’t really any quests associated with it – you really feel like you need to have enchanting on your side if you want to have any chance of really making something out of the game.
Overall, the enhanced Celestials – Blood Moon and Harvest Moon mods are nice additions to the game. I don’t know if I would buy the mod, but I do recommend trying it out. It’s free, it’s a great way to spice up your gameplay, and it adds a nice little twist to your standard mining and skinning techniques. If you’re looking for something a little more unique to the minecraft universe, these two add-ons might be just what you’re looking for.
