The Enhanced Mushrooms mod is a great addition to the Minecraft game. As its name suggests, these mushrooms are made by extracting the nutrients from a variety of different naturally occurring plants and then processing them into food. They are much stronger and can be used to help players fight off monsters and build up their defenses.
When a player is creating a mushroom, there are three stages that they can reach. First, there is the Vanilla, which has lower health and takes more time to grow. After that, comes the Enhanced version, which has twice the health as the Vanilla. Finally, there are the Promised Mushroom, which are the strongest mushroom available, and has unlimited uses. The player only needs to have at least one plant for it to be effective, but once placed, it will begin producing mushrooms almost instantly.
In order to get the more powerful mushrooms, the player must research the types of mushrooms that are most effective against that type of monster. For instance, the Enderman can eat the regular Spider or Bee mushroom, but the Endermin can eat the strongest and most resilient of these. The best way to get started with this is to build a strong base, protecting it with a Shield block or other structure. Once the player has sufficient mining supplies, they should start looking for ways to get the better mushrooms. The fastest and easiest method is by using a Farming Background, which will place the newly created mushroom on an appropriate block within a radius of the player.
Another option is to plant the mushrooms directly onto the ground. This takes more time but can be done while standing in the water. However, if the player is moving around too much, it is a good idea to place the mushrooms on a grounded block such as a fence or an air pad. It is not advisable to plant the mushrooms close to other trees, buildings, or other items, as their durability may be reduced. They are also somewhat fragile and can easily be shattered.
It is important to note that the time it takes to grow the mushrooms from levels to their Forge tiers can vary. If a player is using a Farming Background, it can take two to three days to reach the required level of expertise for planting fresh mushrooms. The time taken can be increased by simply making use of a Waterwheel. This will speed up the rate of growth dramatically, although it is still not as fast as the fastest way to get the requisite amount of mushrooms to become effective. The fastest and efficient way however, is to simply place the mushrooms on top of the soil in the Mining section of the map.
A player’s inventory is limited while using a farming background, but when using a shovel on top of the soil, a number of additional mushrooms will be generated. When all the mushrooms have been produced, they can then be sold to the Trading post for additional money. This way, it is possible to make money off mushrooms even when a player has used up all the ones they have gotten. The amount of money generated depends on how many times a player uses the shovel. However, it is generally good practice to plant more than one type of mushroom to increase the chance of making money off them.
