Minecraft Modding, like any other modding for games, has its good sides and bad sides. You might think the mod is so popular, that there’s not much you can do to change it, but I assure you there are a lot of things you can add to make it better. If you are having trouble obtaining resources or crafting recipes, it may be a problem with the vanilla game. This issue was actually discovered while playing the Survival mod version.
The problem is you can’t build anywhere near water in the game. There are places you can get water, but there are no resources to use them on. I guess you need water to stay alive right? It’s understandable that you need it in such a survival-based game.
But what you may not know is that hunger can cause this issue. Hunger over time can cause you to starve to death, which is kind of nasty. So what’s a mother to do? I’m not going to tell you to go download Hoggle because I don’t think you’ll like what it does. What I suggest you do is implement this mod into your game instead of just using it for decoration purposes.
This modifies the way food is distributed throughout the game. There are also a bunch of new recipes that can be obtained through this method that weren’t accessible before. Also, there are rare foods now so you have to make sure you get them through some kind of quest. This can be tedious especially if you are trying to collect all the food sources in the game at one time.
Another issue is people leveling up too fast. Sometimes the game can confuse you as to what level you are. Sometimes your character won’t move as fast as others and will confusedly get into an attack mode without much reason. This doesn’t happen in the vanilla game and is due to the fact that you need to get accustomed to using the bow or shoot enemies from a distance. When you do this you will be able to take down higher level enemies with less damage taken.
If you’re not familiar with this mod you can read up on it at my review site. I was able to get most of it working but there are still some parts I am having trouble with. It’s mostly related to bugs but there’s only a few I can’t figure out. If you find the mod easy to use and understand, I think you’ll like it.
