For those of you familiar with Minecraft, or at least familiar with the MCP hosting game mod, you already know that it’s possible to add some features that your players will undoubtedly want to have. However, if you haven’t played the original mod, you might be wondering what’s so special about Kotlin for Forge. After all, the same mod is available for people who prefer the “vanilla” version of the game.
First, let’s talk about the differences between the vanilla and Kotlin versions. The biggest difference is that the mod offers a “Enderium” mod which is essentially an upgrade to the vanilla block, which allows players to harvest parts and replenish resources much faster. Also, the game will not crash anymore if a player has more than ten chunks saved when they quit the game. This makes the game more fun and less of a grind.
One of the most popular aspects of this mod is that it adds a few new blocks to the game. These include the Wall and the Engine. A Wall is essentially a decorative block that players can place in front of a door or the backside of an armor stand. The Engine is an engine block that produces energy, used primarily for crafting and repairing machinery.
There are a few other additions that aren’t entirely necessary, but they certainly make life a bit easier. For example, there’s an Engine duplication block that lets you make two copies of an engine. Similarly, there’s a hopper that allows the player to collect water and other liquids. It won’t do anything in combat, but it can help you out in mining for resources.
That’s just the start though, as there are a few other blocks added as well. For example, there’s a wood pickax that will break down trees and other logs. Plus, there are several other tools that will help out in the game, including a shovel and a hoe. They can be used for anything from cutting down trees to mining for resources.
All in all, this is a great add-on that will allow you to enjoy the best aspects of Java from the get-go. As I alluded to earlier, it adds a new block type to the game, but it also adds a ton of great features that will make the game much more fun to play. So if you’ve been looking for a Java add-on that will add a bit of “bling” to the game, then this is it! It’s perfect for those people who loved playing classic arcade games but who don’t want to anymore!
