A Minecraft mod, Land Claiming 1.16.5 Mod, allows players to claim chunks of land within the game in order to build their own little home. The mod has been created with the intention of bringing the creative aspects of a real-life building experience into the world of Minecraft. This mod has many different settings for servers and clients, depending on the type of player that is using the mod. The main focus of Land Claiming Mod is to provide a better experience for those who enjoy the game, while still maintaining some basic rules that ensure everyone can enjoy the game.
Before starting a Land Claiming session, the player will need to choose which type of Land Claiming they wish to do. There are two options, the server-side and the client-side. Server-side is what is used by most people, where the server will handle all of the Land Claiming procedures. Client-side is where the client side of the Minecraft mod will handle all of the Land Claiming procedures. With a client-side Land Claiming setup, a player can choose which blocks they would like to claim, where those blocks are located within the chunk. Once the player has chosen which blocks to claim, they will be given an icon that they will need to drag over the chunk with.
When the player drag an appropriate icon over a land piece, the texture of the land piece will change. This will indicate to the client side that the chunk has changed, and it will also indicate to the server side that there is another piece of land within that chunk that the client can claim. All of this data will be sent to the server, and the server will verify that all of the chunks within the chunk are legitimately claims. The server will then give the client permission to claim the land piece.
The server should be able to check to see if all of the chunks within the chunk are valid claims, or invalid claims. It should flag any claims that are invalid or down grade them to a lower level. It should notify the player of these flags. An example of this would be a world that contain water, and a desert biome. The server may determine that the water is an ocean and therefore is not part of the chunk, and the desert is considered part of the chunk even though it is inside the water.
A Minecraft mod that actually creates Land Claiming Blocks is called “plingomotential”. A person who has downloaded the mod can create their own blocks to claim land. These blocks do not have to be identical to the ones that the mod provides, but they also have to be arranged in a certain way. The blocks that are generated using the ppling mod will be labeled with a certain ID that helps to keep track of which block is which.
The biggest issue that has been raised with this mod so far involves mod copyright. However, because the Minecraft mod has not been released, there is not a problem. The modding site has not created anything that would be violating the game’s terms of service. Also, it does not modify the game in any way that would cause problems for the user. It only adds content. Therefore, this is entirely legal.
