Player Recorder is a Minecraft Mod that allows the player to record and save all their game activities. It also enables the player to view their recorded character’s actions on the mini-map. This is done by pressing the Tab button and then left clicking on the recorder icon to open it. When you are in the game, all your previous recorded activities are shown below the mini-map.
The purpose of Player Recorder is to enable the player to record key interactions with other players, creatures, and zombies in the game. This would enable the player to track down and share their findings with others interested in the same games. They can be shared online using a dedicated web server. The recorder does not require any sort of download or installation and has no complexity to set up.
The player can mark particular areas in the game with particular names, which they could later use as reference points when trying to find specific things in future sessions. It also allows players to create a video log, which can be viewed together with the other player’s recordings. This is done by highlighting the player’s portrait in the game and then pressing the Record Game button. Whilst the player is recording, pressing T is given the same action as clicking the arrow keys on the keyboard. This will then start the recording. The player has the option to delete any recordings made, before sending them to their friends.
Player Recorder has been created by two members of the Creative Assembly, the team who created the well-known X-Games series. One of the members of this team, Marcus Malachowski, worked on the initial design of Player Recorder, before it was handed off to Jens Hynekhus, who was responsible for adding sound effects. A number of changes have been made to the original design since its conception, which has enabled players to record their own games and share them with others online. Many of these changes are purely cosmetic, but there are some major improvements.
One of the most significant changes from the original release is the ability to record a custom made video rather than the pre-recorded videos that are featured at most other instances. This feature is present on all versions of the Minecraft Mod but is especially useful for players that want to show off a particular skill or moment in their game. By recording a video using the Player Recorder, players can then load up that video on their website or in any other location they wish to share their progress with. This method allows players to share their achievements with a much larger audience, than what would be possible using pre-recorded videos. This feature is useful for both experienced and new players alike, as it allows them to document their achievements in a way that other people can benefit from. They can also share videos with friends, allowing them to enjoy the fruits of their labour with the same interest level as they had when they started.
Some of the other major additions include the option to view player information while offline, the ability to chat while recording, and the ability to restore a player’s progress after death. These features make the Player Recorder an all around great tool for both new and experienced gamers, who can record their own experiences, and share them with others online. By streamlining the recording process, the Minecraft Mod has simplified the overall player experience, allowing players to have more control over how they want to create their experience.
