The Potion Core 1.16.5 is a simple but powerful addition to the Minecraft mod. I have been using this particular mod for a while now and can honestly say it is one of the most addicting. You will notice that as soon as you install the mod, it starts producing mobs that are all essentially variations of the usual wool block. The wool blocks however are crafted in much the same way as they are crafted in the standard version of the game. You need to collect the wool, craft the block and then use it to craft the items you want. The blocks are also dropable which makes this mod very convenient.
One of the best parts about this mod is its uniqueness. Unlike many mods out there, Minecraft uses its own mining system that allows you to mine more valuable ores. This allows you to build up more of these precious ores over time. Some of the ones you will find in this variation include iron, lapis, silver, coal, quartz and gold.
The only downside I can see with the Potion Core is that it does not support loot chests. It can be pretty frustrating when you find an item and do not have anything to use it on. Fortunately, I have not encountered any of these issues yet. It is currently the only mod out there that does not support loot chests. That said, it can still be useful to have a place to put some of your finds after you have harvested them.
As far as the layout of the Minecraft mod goes, it is fairly basic. The mine cart is at the bottom of the map, the mobs are in the center and you will see a red dot on the world map that represents your location on the map. To travel to different places, you need to use a minecart. To mine more resources or to jump back down, you will need to get onto a hopper. There are numerous hoppers scattered around the map.
Overall, this is a fairly easy mod to understand and play with. My only suggestion would be that you get a hold of a tutorial guide to teach you how to play Mine crafting. There is quite a bit of information that is not very user friendly when you first start using the mod. A tutorial would allow you to easily get used to the mod and craft at a rapid pace.
The MineCraft team has released an official update for version 1.3. With the latest patch, many things have been improved upon. For instance, I was one of the only users that were not able to place hoppers on their carts because the default config did not allow it. Now, if I want to place a hopper on my cart, I simply access the options menu and click the “use hopper” button. This has also been fixed in 1.3, so hopefully this problem will be fixed in the next major update.
