Mining for metal, stone, and other ores has always been a difficult process for any player. This is because the veins around most of the maps are either too big or too small to build huge railroads, or to extract resources in reasonable amounts. This is one of the most troublesome aspects of vanilla Minecraft that makes it so fun to play. This mod aims to fix this by changing the vein system slightly so that bigger veins are easier to get, and the veins themselves are much more efficient when extracting resources. I personally managed to make over twenty furnaces from my newly refined pipes 1.16.5!
The refineries in Minecraft are no different from how they look in the vanilla game. They take the form of large metal piles, and they can be built next to existing furnaces or even right next to an oregano plant. However, I’ve found that with the oregano mod enabled, they tend to produce slightly more resources. The new method for refining pipes also allows for the stacking of up to three furnaces side-by-side. This makes for an incredibly powerful mining method that enables players to truly take advantage of their mines.
You might think that the only reason you would use a refined version of your pipes is because you need to stack up on resources! You couldn’t be more wrong. Refined pipes 1.16.5 are perfect for the mining professions. If you’re an engineer, you’ll love refining those old rusty iron pipes. Just stack those three furnaces up on top of each other, press the craft button, and you will instantly have a mini industrial factory. You can then start extracting resources from all over the map instead of having to fly all over the map to mine the resources you need.
When using the oregano mod enabled in the forge, simply right click on any refilled pipe and the furnace will appear. From there you can choose to refine the pipe by hand or by using a mouse button. Either way, it will produce much higher quality refined iron. Using the refined versions of your pipes will help you get the most out of your mining professions.
There is actually quite a bit more to using the oregano mod with the refined pipes. When combined with other types of pipes, these pipes become even more powerful, giving you the ability to completely control the flow of liquids through your mining area. Instead of just being able to produce normal-sized veins of fluid, you can produce large amounts of fluid at a time! Now imagine the difference this will make when you have a large quantity of lava and water in the area, which is bound to occur when you have multiple furnaces running at the same time.
I am not saying that the oregano and refined pipes combinations will be extremely helpful for all people. For instance, those who are only experienced in using one type of pipe may find it very difficult to break through large veins of liquid. However, for those who are more adept at using various pipe types, they will find that the oregano and refined pipes combination is an extremely strong combination. In fact, there is actually one scenario in which combining these two pipe types is absolutely necessary. If you are going to be using large amounts of liquid such as water or lava, it will be absolutely crucial that you have a large stream of liquid to move through your map areas. This is where the combined pipes really shine, allowing you to have as many streams 1.16.5 of fluid moving through your map as possible.
