SCP: Blockishment is an RPG mod, which is the spiritual sequel to the popular game “Resident Evil: Extinction”. The story starts in the same way as the latter game, as you find yourself in a large containment facility, where you have to fight through hordes of creatures, and save the human experimentation subjects. In the former game, you had to fight through a variety 1.16.5 of zombies, and the protagonist, also known as Biohazard-1, had to deal with the corrupted doctors who attempted to use on him and his fellow experiments. Fortunately, you can now play as a completely different character, who fights in style, as if you’re playing a new game! This type of game-changing is something that not many people would’ve seen in “Resident Evil: Extinction”, so it will be interesting to see how different the fans of” SCP: Blockishment” are.
A lot of the music from the first game is already in the game, and you’ll definitely want to hear it again. You’ll find that the story is much more intense than the previous versions and even has some great twists and turns, too. The combat is quite tense and fast-paced, especially during boss battles, and there is no doubt that fans of “Resident Evil: Extinction” will love all the changes. A lot of the levels are brand new, too, so you can feel like you’re on a fresh route with every level.
Biohazard-2 is set ten years after the events of the original game. This time around, the Umbrella organization has fallen apart, leaving a huge stain on the world. Now, in order to protect the world again, a group of scientists created a virus called “SCP-blockage”, which is supposed to protect the Earth 1.16.5 from the effects of the virus. Unfortunately, instead of using this virus, though, they used their own creations, which resulted in the monsters.
You’ll have to complete tasks throughout the game to progress further. For example, in the quest “Dr. Isaac’s Gift”, you have to collect information on every person in the facility and learn about their personality. Each character has his/her own special traits, and this makes them easier to handle in combat, as you’ll know how to fight efficiently against each one.
You should also look out for the hidden items and creatures throughout the game. These items include keys, lock picks, and a variety of other objects that you’ll need to find in order to advance further in the game. The majority of these items can be found in locked cabinets or desks, though there is a rare exception. One of the locations you’ll need to look for objects is the Radio Room. Here, there are numerous files that contain background music for the game, so you can choose what kind of music you want to listen to.
The music is beautiful! It helps to blend in naturally with the environment, blending into the background rather than drawing attention to itself. This helps to add to the atmosphere, making the game feel more mysterious and dangerous at the same time. However, this is by no means a requirement. If you want to play this game however, it’s recommended that you use the music sparingly, as it adds to the experience rather than being an obstruction.
