Thaumic Inventory Scanning is a simple mod that is great for both PvP and PvE. It allows players to scan items in their inventory and check for items they do not have or are damaged. This can then be used to repair these items. This will work on crafted and/or dropped items, but can also be used on the player’s own inventory. It does this with the same frequency as other Inventory Scanning mods.
This mod has two sub-tools – Thaumic Dispensers and Thaumic Overseers. The Overseers are basically recipes and utility items for more specialized types of Scanning. For example, you can use them to make a “Rejuvenator” that restores health, mana, and armor of any kind. The recipes are located in the usual places for other mods, and the Overseers will give you information about where to get the items from. They also list the availability of each recipe when you need it.
You must have at least Level 40 in order to start this mod. It requires no additional downloads or installation. Just open up the mod menu 1.16.5 and then start scanning.
You can only view the items that are currently inside your inventory. To do this, open the scanner and then look for the “equipped items” icon. This will take you to a list of all items in your inventory. Once you’re in the list of items, you can double click on an item to display the statistics of the item. The name of the item, quantity, durability, and level are also displayed if there are any.
For some items, you may need to equip yourself with the appropriate tools in order to use the scanner properly. You can wear some type of headgear while you’re wearing the goggles to help you see better. If you are scanning items while you are sneaking, you can press the sneaking action button while you have your eyes glued to the item to turn it invisible. It works the same way if you want to look at items that are on top of a platform or floating above. By pressing the sneak action while your cursor is following an item, the item will turn visible. You can also use the space bar to exit inventory screens.
Thaumic inventory scanning is a great way to track down items that are dropped but never picked up. It’s especially useful for those who like to do crafting on their character, as dropping items can screw up the entire sequence. Even worse, items that you never pick up can wind up in the stash box instead of being dropped. Scanning items also helps prevent your inventory from filling up too quickly.
